PDG began re-design of an existing home in 2011 following Hurricane Sandy. Once storm clean-up occurred, the original foundation footprint was kept, but new construction was raised based on the most current code. The family also saw an opportunity in building new to create a home that met their current needs and wants. With the build-up of the beach dune, the best views were now on the second level, which resulted in having public spaces on the second level and adding a third floor for additional bedrooms.
